An Apology

Oxfordshire Cricket board recently supplied OCB Handbooks and Fixture Cards for all ECB ACO members in the county and I agreed to post these out to those who would not already have received them as individual members of OCB.

Despite weighing, measuring and checking the cost of postage on the Post Office web site it appears I have sent these out with insufficient postage paid and many of you will have had to pay the additional cost plus a handling fee.

This is totally my fault and not that of OCB – please accept my apologies and it looks like the first round at next year’s AGM is on me!

Secretary, Oxfordshire ACO

ECB Umpire training - Level 1 - 'part of the ecb officials pathway'

posted 17 Nov 2009 12:43 by web site   [ updated 17 Nov 2009 12:53 ]

Level 1 Umpires Courses 2010

The objective of the Level 1 course is to teach the Laws of Cricket which will help people of all abilities to have the confidence to be able to stand as an umpire in a cricket match. There is no prerequisite knowledge needed although any that is held will determine the pace at which the tutor will be able to move through the course content.

For all aspiring Officials, whatever level they wish to attain, the ECB pathway provides them with a structured route, and support from Cricket’s National and International body. It is the only training programme required, and indeed recognised, for any individual who wishes to officiate in any ECB League cricket, county age group games, multi-day cricket and up to and including First Class cricket.
