Sport England are the distributors of National Lottery money into Sport. Here is a more detailed explanation of their strategy. Cricket is the second major beneficiary behind football. £39m will be made available to Crickets governing bodies. In addition to this there are a range of other funds which need understanding and exploring. We need to help clubs with this by developing some expertise. The opportunity is there to grab. In addition there was good news about the County Sports Partnerships and their role in this. They are being contracted to help National Governing Bodies (NGB's) to seek out funding opportunities that are appropriate to our needs.
